Student loan consolidation?

I was wondering if there is any way to consolidate fed. loans as well as credit card debt. I have racked up a bit of credit card debt while in school. I have consolidated once, but went back to school and will graduate soon and am looking to consolidate both loans and credit card debt. Is that possible? I will be going back to school again next year for yet another degree and won%26#039;t be able to afford school and credit card debt hence why I wanted to consolidate it with my loans.

Naturally, each country is equipped with their own practice and generally have several varying opportunities of financial assistance for students taking higher education. These can be in the form of grants or subsidies, as well as governmental student loans and loans granted by private entities - all subject to varying circumstances and underlying variables that need to be taken into consideration. I don%26#039;t know if you can, but I have a question: why don%26#039;t you work for a year? Pay off some of your debt and try to save a little?

It has been done before, check with the different banks. If you do this, make sure they lock in the payment and interest so I can not be raised at any time.

The practice used for students living on their own, who are older than twenty however, is that they receive a grant of approximately eight-hundred-fifty-dollars a month and where necessary, the student is permitted to supplement this amount with additional monies in the form of a student loan of approximately fifty percent of the actual grant amount, which must be repaid upon completion of their education. So in effect the student would receive an annual amount of approximately fifteen thousand dollars.

While University and High School entry and tuition is free of charge in this part of the world, there are added advantages in Europe of applying for grants and loans from the European Union. Approval for these applications would depend on the educational line the student has chosen, but there is very wide range of academic and higher education topics for enrollment to consider. Even as a part-time or handicapped or older person - student subsidies, grants and loans can be given. Qualification would depend on a number of variables such as; where the student will study (i.e. which country) the amount of household income, what type of education or course is planned and so on. I%26#039;m sure you would find a bank that was willing to consolidate them together but it%26#039;s a bad idea. Student loans have special benefits associated with them that regular bank loans don%26#039;t have. If you do a standard federal student loan consolidation, you will be able to defer payments when you go back to school. You wouldn%26#039;t be able to do that with a general consolidation loan. Federal consolidation also allows you to extend your repayment term up to 30 yrs (depending on how much you owe) so your monthly payment is lower. Keep in mind, though, that if you pay only the minimum each month you end up paying more interest over the life of the loan. (Just like a credit card.)

Also, think hard about taking on more debt to go back to school. There is no guarantee that you%26#039;ll get a salary that will pay off all this debt when you graduate.
