You can%26#039;t transfer the actual credit card, but what you can do is do a balance transfer to a card that you have so that you assume liability for the debt. This may make sense if your credit is better and your interest rates are lower.

The credit card company will not let you transfer responsibility because they credit checked your fiance, not you. The only way to transfer the debt would be for you to apply for your own card and then complete a balance transfer. Which, to be honest, would probably give you a cheaper rate of interest. Alot of companies now offer a very low rate for the life of the balance.
